About
So, instead of tooting my own horn, I got some of the people I’ve worked with to do that for me:
“Carolien has a keen eye for detail, disciplined follow-up and an engaging style of communication. (…) She has a bubbly personality on top of her top-notch organisational skills, and brings warmth to any team she works with. I highly recommend her for any future position she wishes to apply for” – Sanderson Jones, CEO, The Sunday Assembly
“Carolien is great to work with, displays a solution-oriented attitude in an ever-shifting environment and shows resourcefulness in the face of difficulties. I warmly recommend Carolien, as she is a great asset to any team. ” – Mark McKergow, Director, Host Leadership.
“My experience working with Carolien van den Berg throughout the last 3 years has been consistently pleasurable, insightful and productive. (…) She is extremely knowledgeable, impeccably organised and extensively well read, all of which complements her exceptional, management skills, problem-solving abilities and a strong adeptness at working as part of, or at the head of, a team.” – James Morton, Artistic Director, Embers Productions
“She’s the most emotionally intelligent person I know. Her drive, empathy and intellect are second to none, and she gets stuff done when she says she will. Probably the best hire you will ever make.” – all my friends, in unison and unprompted, who work at various amazing companies worldwide
Yes, I got these straight outta LinkedIn which – well, sort of speaks for itself. [Okay maybe not the last one.]
My career goal is to become the best Product Manager I possibly can be, and I have it on good authority that this could very well involve *level: awesome*. To this end, I’m looking for a place to where I can contribute and learn with great mentorship, and I’m definitely not afraid of getting my hands dirty. I’ve completed the General Assembly Product Management course with an impressive final project, learned even more since, and am eagerly continuing this trend as we speak! Check out my projects to get a taste of what I can do for yourself.
To help me be an even more amazing Product Manager I’ve done some self-teaching on Codecademy and DASH: [proof below] wrote something in Javascript (quite the achievement if you ask me) which I will put somewhere someday, and am now doing SQL/ excel *magic*.
And just because lists are fun, here’s a list other things I am hoping to do:
– learn not to touch my eyes after chopping up chili peppers dammit
– ask better questions
– explain myself better
– be more patient
– recycle more
And of course absolutely get in touch with me if you’d like my help on a project, would like to help me achieve/get better at any of the above, or are just interested in complimenting me for whatever reason.
